Turning Its Back on Plastic: Eclipse Magnetics Joins Plastic Free July Incentive

Eclipse Magnetics is encouraging employees to take part in Plastic Free July 2026, joining millions of people worldwide in reducing their reliance on single-use plastics and adopting more sustainable habits.

The global Plastic Free July campaign challenges individuals and organisations to identify practical ways to reduce plastic waste and make more environmentally conscious choices in their daily lives. Throughout July, Eclipse Magnetics employees will be encouraged to swap disposable plastics for reusable alternatives, rethink everyday consumption habits, and share ideas that can help create a more sustainable workplace.

The initiative supports Eclipse Magnetics' wider commitment to environmental responsibility and it’s journey to Net Zero. It also builds upon a number of measures the company has already implemented to reduce plastic consumption across its operations.

Rachael Berry, Commercial Director at Eclipse Magnetics commented: "Plastic Free July provides a valuable opportunity for all of us to reflect on how small changes can contribute to a larger positive impact. While we have already made significant progress in reducing plastic use throughout our business, sustainability is an ongoing journey. By encouraging employee participation, we hope to inspire habits that benefit both the workplace and the wider environment."

In recent years, Eclipse Magnetics has worked to minimise the use of plastic packaging by introducing more sustainable cardboard and paper-based alternatives wherever possible, removing 1,056,781 individual pieces of plastic from its packaging.

The company has also provided employees with reusable water bottles and canvas shopping bags, encouraging more sustainable habits both in the workplace and at home.

These initiatives form part of the company's broader sustainability strategy, which focuses on reducing waste, improving operational efficiency, and continually seeking opportunities to lessen environmental impact.

From choosing reusable water bottles and coffee cups to making more conscious purchasing decisions, every action has the potential to reduce the amount of plastic entering the waste stream. Eclipse Magnetics believes that collective efforts, no matter how small, can help drive meaningful change and contribute to a more sustainable future.
